Counting in Japanese

Each chapter you’ll have a word list, to study!

Studying the vocab will make the corresponding lesson much easier!
It’s tempting to skip words you feel you won’t need/ use much.

If your goal is fluency, you need to learn all the words! Skipping words will catch up to you eventually!
Word lists are generally 10-16 words per chapter.

You can use this to figure out your ideal study pace.
If 10-16 words sounds easy to you, aim for multiple chapters a week!

If 10-16 words feels like a lot…

…aim for a chapter every week or two to give yourself ample study time!
Don’t feel bad for choosing a slower pace!

We cover a lot of kanji and grammar in this course so choosing a sustainable pace is always the best option!
At the end of the page, you’ll find a game.

Learning vocab is often a case of repetition. Hearing it, writing it, saying it repeatedly…
I can’t make the process faster…

but I can try and make it more interesting with a few games!
