A few words in Japanese are read the same, but have different meanings. For example, ‘hashi’ means ‘chopsticks’ or ‘bridge’. In general, it’s hard to mix these words up, as “I eat with a bridge” or “ I walk along the chopsticks” just doesn’t sound correct… We have this in English too, with words such as ‘sweet’ having more than more use.
