Firstly, let’s look at how to say ‘what time is it?’
Firstly, 時(じ) is the counter for hours/O’clock. As it’s counting quantity, we’ll use なん. Therefore, ‘what time is it’ is:
| 何なんwhat時jiO'clock/Time counterですか。 We could technically make this more specific, by adding 今いまnow/at the moment to the front, making the sentence: What's the time right now? 今いまnow何なんwhat時jitime/O'clockですか。 |
First, let’s start simple and look at structure.
